Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about how Kalm Planner works, what it costs, and who it is for.
Is Kalm Planner free?
Yes. Kalm Planner is free to use while the product is being refined.
Do I need an account to use the planner?
Yes. An account keeps your tasks, events, habits, and to-dos saved across devices and keeps your planning data visible only to you.
Does Kalm Planner work on mobile?
Yes. The interface is built mobile-first, so quick check-ins between classes, meetings, or shifts feel natural rather than cramped.
What is the difference between a task, an event, a habit, and a to-do?
Tasks belong to a specific day. Events have a time attached, like classes or shifts. Habits are small repeatable actions you want to track gently. To-dos are quick items that do not need a date but still need to be remembered.
How is Kalm Planner different from a regular calendar app?
Calendar apps focus on scheduled blocks of time. Kalm Planner combines events with tasks, habits, and to-dos in a single calmer view so the planning experience is not split across several tools.
Will it pressure me with streaks or notifications?
No. Habit tracking is intentionally gentle. A missed day does not break a streak or trigger guilt-driven alerts.
Who is the planner designed for?
Kalm Planner is aimed at students and young adults — roughly ages 16 to 40 — who feel overloaded by busier calendar and productivity tools and want a quieter way to plan the day.
Can I see future days, not just today?
Yes. The Today view is the default, but week and month views are available when you want a wider perspective. The wider views do not take over the main experience.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your planning data is tied to your account and is not shown to other users. The planner stays a personal, low-pressure space.
Still curious?
The fastest way to see whether Kalm Planner fits is to try it alongside your real week.
